All I can say is I suck at summaries. Why does it never get easier!
Ugh. I ate too many raspberries and cream pods and now my tummy hurts. Ugh. And now I am off to the movies, it's raising money for a charity of some sort.

this job is currently sucking me dry... tired and lacking in words. It makes me sad, since I am now in the perfect position to finally spend some time writing! So of course it does not happen.
and I don't know. I feel invisible at the moment. makes it harder to do things.
still. I will try more. Again. tonight. As always...
while I am here... wanted to rec my gift for the springfling!
my author wrote a gabriel/dean fic, that hit me right in the feelings! it's sad and melancholy, with a tinge of hope and happiness. It's beautifully evocative, with wonderful imagery too - it's not at all explicit. It's just lovely.
it's already 8pm. how does that even happen??? la sigh.
I had plans. Plans I tells you! but instead I will drink tea and contemplate an early night.
then tomorrow... write! I have three things I need to get finished shortly.

the thing that gets me though, is that doesn't the poster (or posters) realise how much their spam posting affects people???
I don't read RPF, although I believe it was happening in that thread too, but there is this one bottom!Sam poster who just makes me want to rip out my hair. And for what? I cant' imagine they get many more fills, because it pisses people right off!

It's boyking!sam, dub con, bondage, mild blood play, powers sex, public sex, humiliation etc etc. It's about 12,500 words too. And there would be no rush on it...
In other news, the internet was down all day. I found that remarkably difficult to deal with! Of course, it meant that I got my kbb finally read through, and I also got a comic sketched up, so that was good.
I am thinking about getting a drawing tablet. I don't really have the money right now, so maybe as a you made it to 1 month work present for myself, but I think it would make drawing so much easier. my comic *is* called The Drawing Doesn't Matter for a reason (and I don't think it's been updated in over a year, but this is the year! This Is The Year) but I have been thinking about a drawing tablet on and off for ages. Guess I will look into it in the near future.
With my internet all out, it means I am behind on reading. (so much RPF. I am really torn about my decision to read everything. Because on the one hand, I have read a couple of things that were great stories, on the other hand, I really dislike it. And there is so much, it kinda filters out more than half the fics... such internal conflict! nah, I will still read all of them. I have definitely read some great things I wouldn't have otherwise)
And of course the dean/cas christmas fics are being released. so far, there is one that just had me laughing. It's been a great range too. oh! and some nice dragon Cas art! That is probably one of the nicest things about the challenges: I read/see things that I wouldn't see otherwise.
It's been hot today, the dogs have been cute, and I feel ready to get some writing done.

That was a biiiiig one I started way back in May. And now at almost 60,000 words it longest thing I ever wrote.
I like it. I think. The first half was easier, as it was all set up, but that second half, which was effectively 6 sex scenes in a row? That was a challenge, to try and make them different and interesting, and still part of it.
but yeah! *fist pump*
Of course, I still have a list a mile long, but I am going to celebrate each and every WIP I get done!

I love these things. I don't always do them. But I have managed to cross some big things off over the years: publish in a scientific journal, get a phd, take a jumping photo in front of stonehenge, live and work in another country. And little things too. Have a picnic at hanging rock, wear matching socks for a month, bake 10 new things, build a snowman, .
I love the possibility that they bring with them.
So. I am going to make my new list, and work on it over the next 1001 days.

You are right, but it does mean that you understand it. I cannot write a story about dehumanizing, sexual slavery and interrelationship violence any more than I could write a story about life in Baghdad -- I know nothing of either.
A D/s story is one thing. But judging by your realism, you have serious and vivid fantasies about sadistic abuse and degradation (either on the giving or the receiving end). A fantasy is just a fantasy, of course, but the Marquis de Sade had a problem, and so do you.
