LJ is such a closed space. I've always found it really hard to make friends here - people (and groups) often seem unassailable.

But I wonder why it feels that way?

Anyhoo! Today I am heading off to one of the villages for brunch, and I think I'm going to try and write something wincest-y. There was a prompt I really liked in this months kinkmeme... I just don't know if I can write snake!sam having sex with Dean... I could definitely write some snakey!sam cuddles though. I like that.

(I think I watched too much Fruits Basket as a child: it's an anime (and manga) where a family is cursed to get turned into the animals of the zodiac when touched by the opposite sex)

I think LJ is pretty open - it just depends on who's posting. I am intimidated no matter what, so I'm actually probably a horrible person to ask about friendships on any social media. But LJ is made for commenting and talking. But it also takes communities and people posting up things to chat about.

I have read/watched so much anime/manga in my time! I have the full manga series too! I freaking LOVE that series :D

It's on my list! It's defintiely on my list, and could be really cute. I've written knotting in human form, I just don't know if I'm ready to write a snake!sam fucking Dean. (I would read it though!)

Lol, I go through cycles in my life - I haven't been watching as much anime lately, but I had a good solid run for a long time. Fruits Basket was prob my first non-violent-based anime I watched. (Although the girl's voice was so hard to listen to!)

I wrote Dean as a snake once, and it crossed mind to make it porn (like everything) but I just could not figure out a way to take it seriously (that worked with my story). I would love to read whatever version you come up with :D

I used to be a bit more active and comment and chat more, but my job recently got 10x busier, and I've mostly been around twitter and skype more. But if you want to join in more, definitely do it! And keep posting your own stuff too.

Just last year I got rid of... jeeez! hundreds of hardcopy volumes, and gigs and gigs of stuff I downloaded!

(yes! her voice waaaaas. But it got me on to a whole genre I loved )

I've gone the other way - I've still got two months off before I head off traveling. and I've got organising stuff I should probably do...but I'm not XD I've always thought of myself as a good commenter, but I get demoralised quickly. Time to un demoralise, I guess :)

LJ's fairly open, you just gotta know where to post/chat. It's designed for interaction rather than 140 characters of blathering idiocy *hugs* Come chinwag with the ladies on my threads, start convos with people, you'll soon find lots of friendships out there, promise :)
