(no subject)

milly_gal reminded me that I hadn't actually posted anything about my trip.

And while I am not quite catching up now... (I gotta head out for a day of looking at gardens, and afternoon tea) (and then tomorrow is looking at gardens and dragon boat racing) I actually AM going to catch up. However, so far highlights include

- catching up with my friends in Japan
- going to the African Safari, but then heading to the Dog Parlour, and having this old, greying poodle force it's way into my lap, and then a shiny brownn dachshund come and snuggle in behind
- FINALLY saw Miyajima
- did 45km of the 75km shimanami kaido (got rained on, my bike didn't work, etc, but it was still good. ish.)
- found those stupid bamboo gardens at Kyoto
- voted
- had dinner atLa Rochelle (iron chef french's restaurant)

- saw the welsh football team
- met up with milly_gal

*phew* and now I have two jam packed days with my best friend from high school (oh yeah, caught up with animated movies: Frozen, Tangled, Despicable Me, and we have a movie date for Despicable Me 2 tonight!)

Tuesday I head off to Porto, which I am quite excited about, and then later in the week Lisbon. Gishwhes starts when I am in Lisbon, and I'll finish it up in Seville.

I still need to book most of my transport in Spain, but it's going something like

seville - granada - ronda - cordoba - salamanca - madrid

and then I head to Greece. Crazy, I know. That gets me to the beginning of september, so there is still more planning to do, but I'm pretty excited. And I know it seems Very Planned, but fitting in with people? you can't just turn up! they need to know. ohhhh... and I am hoping that I can make it back to the UK, cos Milly said Steve will cook for me <3 (what? this is totally a food tour!)

anyway, when I have more time (ie monday) I'll try and get a photo post together!
